At CALF-Events (Children & Authors’ Literary Fanfare and Events), we are committed to celebrating cultural diversity through the power of stories.

As an international initiative, we provide a platform for authors from Black and dual-heritage backgrounds, ensuring that their voices and stories are shared with communities around the world. Our vision is to inspire young readers, engage families, and build connections through culturally rich literature and meaningful events.

I did not know there were so many books on African / Nigerian heritage. I was happy to see the children engaging. I felt very proud of my heritage and CALFE!

The storytelling were our favourites - my daughter’s still singing one of the songs a week later!

CALFE gave me the opportunity to meet parents, carers and families from different ethnic groups. Looking forward to the next event.
